Sencottai railway bridge known as pathimoonnu Kannara Palam (13 Arch Bridge) is on the Kollam–Sengottai branch line, a railway line in South India which connects Kollam Junction in Kerala state and Sengottai in Tamil Nadu. The Quilon–Shencottah railway line was the first railway line in the erstwhile Travancore state and is more than a century old. The Kollam–Sengottai section is part of the Kollam–Chennai meter gauge rail route commissioned by the British in 1904. The line has been partially converted to broad gauge.

The main attraction of this bridge is, it has 13 arch. This was built by the British and it still remains as a monument of the British technology. Because before 100 years they built this 13 arch bridge without the help of cement, and the technology was known as Surki construction .It is constructed with just rocks, limestone and jaggery, and still keeping its pace with the cracked new technology bridges

The bridge is of nearly 102.72 meters long and 5.18 meters height. It has got 100 years of age and still remaining without any cracks. One side of this rail bridge is Kollam-Shenkottai National Highway and the other side is enchanted with the River Kazhuthurutti.

The rail journey through this rail line is also one of the best, because the route covers journey through dense forest, long tunnels, many steeps and downs.
