Sidh Baba Ka Mandir, dedicated to the Hindu saint named Sidh Baba, is a revered religious site in Chail. This shrine is located atop a hill, between Rajgarh and Pandhawa.
According to local legend, Maharaja Bhupinder Singh – the king of Patiala planned and commenced the construction of a palace at this spot. One day, Sidh Baba came in the king’s dreams and informed that he used to perform meditation on that hill and was cremated there. The saint also said that the hill is pious and not suitable for residential purposes. Hence the valiant Maharaja constructed a temple and dedicated to the saint and mandir was accepted as ‘Sidh Baba Ka Mandir’. The ambience is breathtaking and the Mandir is an acceptable picnic spot to visit.
In order to reach the main temple one has to climb some stairs but once you get here you will really be amazed. The huge for one, endowed with trees and open courtyards, there is separate alcove for each deity, which looks very elegant indeed. The temple and its ambiance are very calm and peaceful which easily entice the travelers here in Chail.
