Faye’s Underground Home underground home (or dugout as the locals call them) was excavated in the original method using picks and shovels and a lot of blood, sweats and tears. Built forty years ago by three women this attraction is an insight in to the strength of character that Coober Pedy was built on.
The current couple residing here has opened it to the public. This has a small indoor pool, fully-furnished kitchen, fireplace (for winter heating), and comfortably furnished rooms.
