Ajmer Jain Temple, also known as Soniji Ki Nasiyan, is an architecturally rich Jain Temple. It was built in the late nineteenth century. The main chamber, known as the Swarna Nagari “City of Gold”, has several gold-plated wooden figures, depicting several figures in the Jain religion..

This marvelous Jain temple, built in 1865, is also known as the Golden Temple, due to its amazing display in the double-storey temple hall. The two-storied structure of Nasiyan Temple is divided into two parts, where one is the worship area comprising the idol of Lord Adinath and the second is the museum including a hall. The hall is filled with a huge golden diorama depicting the Jain concept of the ancient world, with 13 continents and oceans, the intricate golden city of Ayodhya, flying peacock and elephant gondolas, and gilded elephants with many tusks.

An estimated 1000 kilograms of gold has been used in the construction. The interiors of the temple is decorated with the inner chamber that has silver balls suspended from its ceiling and is surmounted by a vimana (spire). The interiors are also embellished with the silver linings and precious other stones.
