You can dig for opals in a functioning mine on a tour to Tom’s working opal mine, You can pick up a hard hat and other necessary tools from the entrance where tickets are sold. There are interactive guided tour, conducted by experienced miners who provide participants with detailed explanations and demonstrate how to use the Tunnelling Machine, Auto-Bucket, Bosun Winch and Jack Hammers and see Opal seems in the wall. Self-guided walking tours are also available for those who prefer to stroll through the mine at their own pace.
