If you thought there wasn’t enough space on a plane for a secret bedroom where cabin crew can catch 40 winks, you’d be wrong.
Photos have emerged showing sleeping quarters on an aircraft that nobody until now seemed to be aware of, where flight attendants are able to nap, read a book, or simply hide from slurring passive aggressive customers who’ve had one too many G&Ts.
Apparently accessed by an unassuming door in the cockpit, the crew quarters often consist of flat beds and even, for the pilots, business class seats and a separate bathroom.
A rendering from aircraft manufacturer Boeing shows that the hidden compartments sit above the passengers’ heads in the roof of the plane.
