A heart-warming friendship between a three-year-old boy and his fluffy best friend is to feature in a new book.
Little Buddy and labradoodle Reagan have won fans around the world, with more than 100,000 Instagram users keeping up with their adorable antics.
Their friendship blossomed after Buddy was adopted by foster parents when he was 11 months old.
His foster grandparents Sandi and Eric Swiridoff adopted Reagan two years ago, when he was an eight-week-old puppy.
Now Sandi, from Portland in Oregon, USA, has compiled a cute collection of her favourite snaps of the pair – who regularly feature together wearing matching outfits on the @Reagandoodle Instagram account.
Proceeds from the book will go to Foster Parents Night Out, a not-for-profit organisation that works with foster families.
Sandi, a nurse, said: “The touching, true story of Reagan and Little Buddy needed to be told.
“I couldn’t keep all the adorableness to myself.
“Granted, photos of the two of them are regular features on his Instagram, but the book is different.
“It includes never-before-seen photos, showcasing their relationship from the time they first met, up until now, almost two years later.
“Their story is one of a strong bond and a sweet friendship, and includes a few surprises.”
The book will be published next year and will be available online.
Sandi added: “I am so excited for this book to come out.
“And I am thrilled that Reagan is able to make a difference in so many people’s lives.
“Reagan is great with kids and other dogs, he hasn’t met another dog or person that he doesn’t like.
“Adopting Reagan was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. He has added so much joy to our lives, and to the lives of many other people.
“The little boy was my inspiration for donating profits from the @Reagandoodle calendar to help foster children.”
Photos from the book will also be available as a calendar in time for Christmas.
