Madavoor Para Cave Temple

Located at a distance of 17 kms from Trivandrum city is a cave temple which has rock – cut sculptures dating back to 18th century. The outer wall of the temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, has beautiful yet incomplete carvings of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. Situated on a steep slope, the temple can be reached by climbing a few flight of steps. The temple is carved out of a rock and now is guarded by iron railings.
There is a bamboo bridge 101 m long which leads to the top. There is a resting place also from where you get a panoramic view of the surroundings.
