The museum of Avallonnais-Jean Després is an archaeological museum, fine arts and ethnological Avallon in the department of Yonne in Burgundy-Franche-Comté administrative region , France.
Tracing the local history, the Musée de l’Avallonais was born in 1862 from the passion of local scholars. Alongside the regional pieces, between sculpture and goldsmithery, you will also discover surprising Asian works. Here, the Yao community, ethnolinguistic minority of several Asian countries, is revealed through silver jewelry, textile pieces and Taoist documents.
